ADVISORY BOARD

The Pinnacle Advisory Board is comprised of elected and ex-officio members and meets quarterly. The Pinnacle Advisory Board has the following responsibilities:

​

  • Collaborates in sustaining the mission of The Pinnacle School to assure a clear and commanding commitment to education;

  • Assures continuity and provides evaluative feedback on leadership;

  • Collaborates with the owner of the school in assuring Pinnacle's fiscal health;

  • Reviews the policies by which the school is conducted;

  • Reviews, assesses, and constructively comments on Pinnacle’s effectiveness in accomplishing its mission and goals.
     

We are fortunate to have the depth of knowledge and expertise of the below Advisory Board members, and appreciate their commitment to our continued growth as Pinnacle continues to evolve to better meet the needs of our students, faculty and families.

ALEXANDER CRAWFORD

Parent Representitive

Alexander Crawford is a Partner and Chief Risk Officer at Lord Abbett. He is responsible for identifying and managing risk in Lord Abbett’s portfolios. In addition, he is a member of the Investment Leadership Team, as well as the Strategic Allocation and ESG committees. Mr. Crawford joined Lord Abbett in 2012 and was named Partner in 2013. His previous experience includes serving as Managing Director and Global Head of Risk Management at Ziff Brothers Investments; Managing Director and Head of Agency MBS Strategy at RBS Greenwich Capital; Managing Director and Head of Mortgage and Cross-Rates Strategy at Deutsche Bank Securities; Vice President and Head of Mortgage Strategy at Morgan Stanley; Vice President, Research Liaison at Goldman Sachs; and Vice President, Research Liaison at CS First Boston. He has worked in the financial services industry since 1988. Mr. Crawford has contributed to publications, including the Guide to Fixed Income Securities, Volume 7, by Frank Fabozzi. Mr. Crawford also has received awards from Institutional Investor for his research on mortgage-backed securities. He earned an AB in computer science from Harvard College.

VICTORIA NEWMAN, M.S.ED, CEP

Founder & President, Greenwich Education Group

Victoria Newman is the Founder and President of Greenwich Education Group, and the Director of GEG's Day and Boarding School Advisory Services, and is President of GEG. She was recognized by the US Small Business Administration as the Connecticut Small Business Person of the Year in 2016. Vicky is a member of the Board of Directors for Arch Street, The Greenwich Teen Center; she is a mentor with the Greenwich Alliance for Education's AVID program, and she serves on the committee for the Greenwich Distinguished Teachers Awards. She organized and founded the largest private day and boarding school fair in the state of Connecticut nine years in a row, between May 2010 – 2019, in Greenwich and Stamford.

 

Vicky is a thought leader on the topics of education trends and leadership development and is a foremost expert on independent school placement in the U.S. and Canada. She is a sought-after speaker and education industry expert who has presented on a variety of subjects throughout the United States and internationally. She has also written insightful articles on education-related topics for several high-profile publications.
